Program Requirements and Selection Lists

 

Program Requirements are additional requirements beyond ISO/IEC 17025 that are required for some of A2LA's accreditation programs.

Please download these additional requirements with your application.The following documents are in Adobe PDF format. In order to read these files, you need to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe's Web site.

In addition, you will need to inform A2LA of the methods for which you are seeking accreditation. Print out the selection association with your field of testing, and/or program.

 

Acoustics and Vibrations Acoustics and Vibration Selection List
Animal Drug

The accreditation requirements are applicable to the special animal drug testing laboratory accreditation program designed to meet the requirements of the Association of Racing Commissioners International (RCI).

Automotive EMC

These documents define the requirements of the A2LA Automotive EMC Laboratory Accreditation Program (AEMCLAP). The technical requirements are contained in the Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP) developed jointly by DaimlerChrysler, Ford and GM.

Biological Biological Selection List
Calibration

(See Site Testing & Calibration Requirements  and the associated Site Testing/Calibration checklist.)

These documents describe the accreditation requirements specifically applicable for calibration laboratories, both for those providing measurement standards calibration and for those performing measuring and test equipment (M&TE) calibration.

Laboratories seeking accreditation for calibrations performed at other than the fixed laboratory location must complete the Site Testing & Calibration Program Requirements Checklist and submit it with the application.

Construction Materials

 

These documents describe the accreditation requirements applicable to the A2LA Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field which is designed to meet the needs of users looking for competent construction materials testing services.

The associated assessor checklist only needs to be completed if the laboratory is seeking accreditation for the following ASTM standards: ASTM C1077, D3740, D3666 and E329

Electrical Electrical Testing Selection List
Environmental

Assessments in the environmental field conducted as of May 1, 2004 must be conducted against these new
requirements. Prior to May 1, 2004, assessment to the new requirements is optional. Environmental
laboratories seeking accreditation through the Wyoming Leaking Aboveground and Underground Storage
Tank and Kentucky Underground Storage Tank Accreditation Programs are not subject to this policy.

Environmental Lead (Pb) - 2004

 

The requirements for this program are based upon ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and the US EPA National Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (NLLAP) Quality System Requirements document (LQSR).

 

Food Testing

 

These documents describe the accreditation requirements for the optional A2LA Food Testing program. The specific technical crtieria must be obtained from AOAC.

These documents describe the accreditation requirements applicable to the A2LA Geotechnical Field of testing which is designed to meet the needs of users looking for competent geotechnical testing services.

Mechanical Mechanical Selection List
Kentucky Underground Storage Tanks (UST)

These documents describe the applicable requirements for laboratory accreditation as required by Kentucky's Office of the Petroleum Storage Tank Environmental Assurance Fund.  

Non-Destructive

These documents describe the accreditation requirements applicable to the A2LA Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Field of Testing. These requirements are designed to meet the needs of users looking for quality NDT services.

Putting Greens

These documents describe the accreditation requirements applicable to the special putting green laboratory accreditation program designed to meet the requirements of the United States Golf Association (USGA).

Thermal
Site Testing/Calibration These documents describe the additional accreditation requirements applicable to labs that are seeking accreditation for field testing/calibration.

The related checklist must be completed and submitted with the application in order for the application to be considered complete.

Wyoming Storage Tank Remediation (STR)

These documents describe the accreditation requirements applicable to the State of Wyoming Department of Water Quality (Water Quality Division) Leaking Aboveground and Underground Storage Tank Program.
